I really love *mizzd-stock's stocks, especially her portraits. I have studied on them in retouchs a lot but I think I got the best result in this one. I think it was because I didn't go too much on the stock and just did simple things. With little manipulations, it was perfect. I wanted to make it a whole manipulation so I did this.

When I was making the deck ready, I thought of a cartoon movie I saw when I was little on a VCD, Treasure Planet. (By the way, I still have the VCD and I watch it. Yeah!) It was a steampunk sci-fi version of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. I remember hating the book actually, altough I think it was a child-angst because it was a book assignment when I tried to read it. Actually my mother ended up reading it and made me write the composition as she told me about it. (That was the only time my mother did my homework, which is scary a bit. I guess I was good at manipulating people then.) But, I still love that crazy movie. I had a crush on Jim too. (I really want to watch it in its original language tough, I just learnt the one who was the sound of Jim is Joseph Gordon-Lewitt and I love him.)

... So I remembered the ships in that movie, flying in the galaxy. I decided I wanted the ship to have a feeling like it was flying. That's why there is only sky in the manip and no sea at all.

(I just adore that movie, I recommend it!)

Also, hence the name. It's base is from the portrait stock name, and because the ship is "in the air", it's like even higher seas.
Yeah, I'm a regular genious.

~ChainBound (Kingdom in the Clouds, pt 1),

=Della-Stock (Top of Clouds) => The sky, I tried a new way to blend skies, I think it worked out great :D

Thanks to all stock owners and those the ones who spent some seconds to look at this manip!
